Duke, Your Majesty (a.k.a. Brute of the North)

Duke Iyorith is the heir to the legendary warrior Waeldmar I of Iyorith that stood with the Wyrmbane King. He is was the regent of the Duchy of Iyorith and is wed to Meredith Lorinck of Mistwatch, whom he has 4 children with. His heir Waeldmar II died during a coup in Sweinfurt, leaving his legacy in the hands of his daughter Lady Friede I. His wedding with lady Lorinck brought safety to his land and brought the Lorinck family holdings into that of his own family. He is the primary instigator of the Thronewar, desiring to see Grand Duchess Rosely-Elisa Timar I punished for her regicide and unlawful claim to the throne. Due to repeated raids by Kraal, he lost the war and was forced to surrender himself and his holdings in order to save the lives of his family. Only thanks to Lady Friede's intervention did he evade execution, and was instead incarcerated in the kingdom's deepest dungeons.
Lord Oswald is a renowned warrior and devotee of Kovan, God of Glory, though gifted with draconic magic through his ancestor's exploits he himself leaves the magic to other folk while honing his martial prowess. As Duke of Iyorith he controls the largest military force in the Great Kingdom of Utharic.
In court he is known as direct and with little patience for court intrigue known to plague much of the southern dukedoms. Individuals speaking in vagaries or circling around topics or avoiding answering questions quickly find themselves removed from his presence. As such he is often referred to as the Brute of the North, though none would dare besmirch his martial prowess for fear of being humiliated in the Grand Arena.
