The Grand Duchess is the current regent of the Kingdom of Utharic, but this path has not been straightforward. As the eldest daughter to the Timar line, she was raised in the saddle and was betrothed to Crown Prince Markus II. Her faerie tale life ended in a freak tournament accident where fragments of a splintered lance piercing into her visor, destroyed her eye and resulting in her death.
Fortunately a priest was able to bring her back, though her once beautiful face would forever be marred with the loss of her eye. To make matters worse, it was later discovered that she had been in the early stages of pregnancy, yet the child did not survive it's mother's accident. Complications in the removal of the child lead to an inability to birth children and depression. To make matters worse her beloved Prince married her younger sister Lady Ilse instead of hers in order to continue his bloodline.
After disturbing the royal wedding in a raging outburst she mysteriously vanished. Returning home decades later from the Darklands, carrying great trophies. She was given the regency over the Timar county in 213 C.Y. after her mother's death and her father retreated from the political stage. Her relationship with the royal family remained distant and cold, communicating via proxies and never attending any celebrations.
She has proven a capable and stern regent with worldly experience and a strong sword arm until the royal massacre. That night she strode into the throne room with her armed retinue and slaughtered the royal line alongside like-minded nobles and Griffonlords. Having seized the Utharic throne and quickly brought the city's people in line with evidence of the Throne's corruption and by executing their secret royal assassins.
