You are paramedics - but not the kind we know on the material plane. No, you are members of the Holy Cross Memorial Hospital's military force and bodysnatching squad.
Paramedics aren't always a popular group in the free city. After all, more than one funeral has been broken up by a squad of paramedics arriving to collect on a debt that the relatives of the dearly departed didn't know existed. But those formerly living persons did agree to give their remains to the Hospital in exchange for healing and medical care credits. You don't need to be liked - you have an important job to do. More than one life has been saved by the corpses you retrieve, and the generous pay doesn't hurt either.
A hospital re-org has left you with a new squad. Some of your squad-mates have been Paramedics for years, some are brand new to the job. Hell, some are brand new to the Free city all together. The shift supervisor has brought you all in for a dangerous mission ...
