It's the year 888 since the founding of the Tevinter Imperium. For nearly a century the lands have been ravaged and slowly drained of life by a never before seen catastrophe: a Blight. Dark, twisted creatures burst out of the Deep Roads en masse, targeting the Imperium's people and cities, leaving death and destruction wherever they appear. What caused all this is not certain, and any attempts of bringing an end to this plague so far have failed. In the middle of this chaos a group of travelers from all across the continent meet in a remote desert town called Schwarzstein, in the outskirts of the Imperium near the Hunterthorn Mountains. They all have their own goals, their own paths to walk, but it might be that their fate is linked in a way none of them can foresee yet.
