What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

When I work on an article that needs to link to a new article, I like to create a stub and then come back later to fill it in so I don't lose my original train of thought. However, with the new creation system, the open in new tab/open in new window functionality has been disabled. I would like to see it enabled.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

By enabling the open in new tab/open in new window functionality, I would be able to keep multiple articles open without manually creating a new tab, then manually opening the new article in it.

Thanks for the suggestion! We'll look into adding the option to create articles in a new tab. We'll also have better systems for on-the-fly stub creation too.
