Sort Article Names Above Tag Mentions

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

When typing a mention ("@Word"), the recommendation pop-up has articles with "Word" in their tags come up in between articles with the actual "Word" in their name.   So if I have an article called "Magic" and type "@Magic", when the recommendations pop up, the actual Magic article will be lost in between articles tagged with the world "Magic", such as any characters I've tagged who use magic, civilizations that use magic, etc. This can lead to things getting messy when trying to mention a specific article

How does this feature request address the current situation?

My suggestion is for articles with "Word" in their title to be sorted above articles with "Word" as a tag in the recommendation popup.   I think WA already has some prioritization system with mention recommendations, where articles with "Word" in their title are always sorted above articles where "Word" just appears somewhere in the page. So this would theoretically move tagged articles to a lower priority level.

The Team's Response

I am not accepting this suggestion as it was given but I am going to have a look on the mention system, it has some odd behaviour it did not meant to have and it needs an once over asap.   Edit: 15 Oct 2021, this was resolved and never closed .. whoops.

More clarity with certain 'tags' would be useful

When I am @Mentioning something, I am doing it by the article title 99% of the time. Tags appearing are useful for the odd case of an article title not being long enough to pop up or including unusual characters, but at least for my use case that's almost never. I can type @Article's Fullname and it is often still not even the first one in the list, with other, more irrelevant tagged articles appearing above it.   This change would be a big workflow improvement.

If as part of this, the whole drop-down system could be refactored, that would be great--it is slow enough since the "upgrade" that it interrupts typing speed, which is a horrible side-effect.

This would be handy to have if it is possible as it can get messy if you are a tag enthusiast.

Oh yes, that would be very helpful! I have lots of articles tagged with the location or ethnicity they belong to. When I want to mention such a location or ethnicity, I often need to scroll down through a long list of those related articles.
