What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Add a Filter option to view only specific entries in a timeline. Filter by location, person, tag, and so on. For example, use a filter to show only events that relate to the location=Kansas. Include robust filter operations like AND, OR, and NOT, etc. Examples: Filters are location=Kansas AND person=Wyatt Earp AND tag=Buffalo. This would only include events that have all three Kansas, Wyatt Earp, and Buffalo. Filters are location=Kansas AND NOT location=Dodge City. This shows only events that are in Kansas, excluding any in Dodge City.How does this feature request address the current situation?
It's difficult to get custom views showing only stuff I want to see in the timeline. I often want to see events about only Wyatt Earp, for example. The only way to do this is to create a Wyatt Earp only timeline, right? That's a lot of timelines I'll eventually want to create. But having a filter option on timelines means I can get subset views of one timeline. Very helpful!What are other uses for this feature request?

on 2021-07-14 07:44I haven't used timelines on WA much yet, but this sounds like a brilliant feature, as Erikfrog explains - less timelines with more functionality is much better than loads of timelines essentially showing similar content but with a few variations
