EmbedCode Video Audio BBcode homepage
What functionality is missing?
Additional BBcodes for embedding Audio and Video external content.
For me specifically Publit.io Media Asset Management BBcodes or equivalent.
What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Very limited or lack of an ability to embed external Audio and Video from any cloud source/service except for the likes of Youtube and Soundcloud.
i.e. I believe we need flexibility like WordPress to embed audio and video, simply and quickly.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
There is no uploading of Audio or Video on WA (and rightly so), but this would mean we would have a fast, flexible and efficient way of embedding our own external audio and video content, rather than struggling with CSS/ (if you have that access) and limited success with StatBlocks -embedding a whole Iframe page.
What are other uses for this feature request?
(1) Customer viewing, entertainment experience and monetization are crucial to any Sage account and website.
(2) As a multimedia author, I create audio and video to help inspire and explore my stories and help me better deliver a vision, feeling, emotion and visual animation that's engaging to my reader/viewers.
Anything from visual video with effects, animations, and the spoken word for those who don't like reading too much or are overwhelmed but lots of text or ease the pressure on those with special needs.
Follow up
Hi, I think my point may have been missed, "Additional BBcodes for embedding Audio and Video external content" , the point is to have more options and flexability other than the likes of Youtube. If anyone has tried recently to watch any content on Youtube, it's continously swamped with adverts. No worries, I accept your decision and will find another solution.
It's a shame that so many people had to spend their points, with no alternative suggestions as to what could be implemtented. As a newbie maybe I've misunderstood the use and spending of points :-)
The Team's Response
Thanks for your suggestion! Publit.io is a paid service, which means that only a very small minority of users would use it. Since this suggestion has low community support, we won't add an integration for now—if the amount of community support changed in the future, we might reconsider.
