Che had joined the revolution years ago, rising to a place of power in the group. It was thanks to her reputation that she was invited to attend the Devil Fruit auction alongside his fearless leader, Robert S Maxis, the most wanted man alive. He had planned to purchase a fruit for Che to use to better their cause.
However, Che was not prepared for what had ended up taking place on Turntable island. A cow boy with an apple hat jumping on stage and stealing a fruit that Robert had been quite interested in. A man with a straight jacket on over a set of priest robes taking the other fruit on sale, the Ope-Ope, the fruit that Robert wanted Che to obtain. Not to mention the death of Burty, a high ranking member of the Blood Pirates crew.
“Sir.” Che said, looking at her leader. Robert looked out at the sea where the ship of the Umbra pirates sailed off, his cloak pulled up to conceal his face. “What will we do now?”
“We will get you a fruit soon enough.” Robert said, his voice a growl as he stared out at the open ocean from the vantage of the floating island.
“Sir, is there something on your mind?” Che asked.
“That ship, the flag is of the Umbra pirates, correct?” Robert asked.
“Yes sir.” Che said, the Umbra’s had become a hot topic due to the realization of the captain being an ex marine who did not take the path of a warlord like the Honorable Pirate did.
“Emma S Nash, and Jeriocho V Brau are a part of that crew.” Robert said, the hint of a smile in his voice.
“Yes, as well as two others. A mink named Jaquar, who happened to be the most wanted man in the south blue, as well as Cherry J Boots, he was apparently a bounty hunter, what led to him joining a pirate crew is unknown though.” Che explained.
“There were two others on their crew.” Robert said.
“The only other member of the crew I am aware of is the Smiley Man, who apparently has been killing marines.” Che said.
“Hah, he's a part of that crew huh?” Robert laughed.
“It is a rumor, no one has actually sighted him. It is just assumed that he was apart of crew based on locations of attacks.” Che explained.
Robert continued to laugh. “Come, we have some work to do. Keep an eye out for those pirates will ya?”
“Should we try to recruit them? This Emma girl could be a great asset to our goals.” Che said.
“If they decide to come our way that is their choice, but we should leave them be for their adventures. Just their existence in this world helps our cause.” Robert said, turning to walk past Che. “Let's hurry, before people realize we are here.”
“Yes sir.” Che said.
“And stop calling me sir.” Robert said, a strong wind beginning to blow from behind him.
