Admiral Midorihebi walked along the inside of Marineford. He was the youngest of the admirals and enjoyed that. He was glad to not be as old as Kifarukon, Yellow Falcon. He was a decrepit old man, his hay day being back when he captured the king of the pirates, since then he has just been, strong.
Gaius couldn't help it, Admiral Kifarukon was his idol, yeah he was old but he was still the strongest in the world. Of course, Admiral Aoiroba, Blue Donkey, was also strong, but no one could stand up to Kidarukon.
“Ah, Admiral Midorihebi.” a voice called. Gaius turned to face the voice, it was Fleet Admiral Ormr. he was older, around the same age as Kifarukon from what he knew. The man had white braided hair that he tied around his chin to look like a beard. He stood a foot shorter than all the other admirals, but he was just as fearsome, even with his personality. “It's great to see you!” Ormr said with a large smile. “Want some candy? I got some butterscotch around here somewhere.” He began to dig in the pockets of his large Marine jacket.
“No thank you sir.” Gaius said dismissively. “Thank you for the offer though.”
“Oh poo.” Ormr said, pulling free a piece of candy wrapped up in a wrapper. He unfolded it and tossed the purple treat into his mouth. “You should really learn to enjoy the simple things of life.” Ormr said, tossing the hard candy between his cheeks.
“I will have time to do that when I retire sir.” Gaius said.
“So stiff.” Ormr said joviely. “I guess we need that in this day and age. What with these Yonkos getting more daring.”
Gaius nodded. “Just say the word sir, I will go take care of them!” He said it with determination, he still had yet to show his stuff fully to his fellow Admirals.
“If only we could, there is a reason the marines haven't touched the Yonkos.” Ormr said, walking alongside Gaius.
“Because of the new world.” Gaius stated. “We haven't gotten a foothold in those seas yet.”
“Exactly.” Ormr said. “But there is more, the Yonkos all have an army of powerful pirates, we will struggle against them unless we get them at just the right time.”
Gaius nodded. “I can arrange that though.”
Ormr laughed. “I'm sure if we really tried we could, but for now we do what we can here. The world is changing, a day will come where you will strike out against those pirates.”
“Sir, why was I called back to Marineford?” Gaius asked.
“Ah yes, We just had some things to inform you of for your next assignment, besides I want you close to Sabaody.” Ormr said.
“What is happening there?” Gaius asked.
Ormr walked, his eyes focused forward. “We have reports that the Sapphire Pirates are heading for there.”
“Those pirates?” Gaius said. “Then let me go and take them out.”
“If only that was the option, we don't know when or where they will arrive.” Ormr said.
“Dont worry, when they come, I will head straight out.” Gaius said with gusto, doing a salute and stopping in place.
“Yes yes, you are the only Admiral with the speed to get there, we dont want to tip them off that we are aware of them just yet.” Ormr said, pulling out another candy. “Just keep an eye out for a call, and of course stay limber.”
Gaius nodded in excitement, this was his chance! These Sapphire pirates had evaded the marines for far too long, this was his chance to catch them! One he would not miss.
