Boar Pirates

It was a sunny day, small puffs of clouds coming from the distant horizon. There was a gentle breeze that blew across Renshu’s face. It felt nice, as his face was currently bright red in embarrassment.

For some reason, Renshu’s men had raised a Jolly Roger with a boar's head instead of a skull and two twin swords instead of crossbones. The men cheered loudly as the flag waved proudly against the noon sky. Renshu almost stumbled as he made his way from the front of the ship to its middle.

“What is this about?” Renshu said, his voice shaky.

“It's a surprise for ya Captain!” A crew member said gleefully.

“A boar? Why?” Renshu questioned.

A crewmate unfurled a sheet of paper, revealing an image of Renshu. The image showed Renshu with his dual swords out, their blades so large they served as hand guards. It was an image of him fighting against a marine a few islands back. His pony tail was mid turn at time of the picture, his eyes darting back to where he was about to charge. The most interesting part was below the picture. Renshu “The Boar” 18 Million Berries, Dead or Alive.

“Boar.” Renshu said, defeated. “Why a boar.”

“They say it's because of your fighting style captain.” A crewmate said, looking over the poster. “Theft, assault, assault of a government official, does that say slander? How do you get a bounty for that?”

Renshu sighed, he had dropped to all fours on the deck of the ship. He could never escape the boar, how long would the embarrassment continue? He leaned back onto his hands and looked at the sky. Was that cloud looking like a boar?

“Well Captain, we're official pirates now!” someone yelled out. “What do we do now?”

Renshu thought about it for a moment. “Simple.” he said, getting to his feet. “We're going to the Grand Line boys. We are going to show the world what kind of pirates we are.”

The crew cheered. “That's our captain!” one yelled. “Greatest swordsman of the sea!” Another yelled out.

Renshu returned to the front of the ship to look out dramatically. He attempted to make himself look as stoic as possible, hiding how red his face was. Gripping at his blades, Tusk and Fang, he thought of his next move. He declared the grand line, but what was his plan?

It clicked almost immediately, he was going to become a warlord. His goal would be to make a name for himself in the Grand Line, and raise his bounty high enough for the World Government to take notice. But there were only seven warlords allowed at one time. Oh well, guess he would just have to remove one from the spot.

How many Warlords remained in Paradise? Many made homes in the New World, yet it wouldn't be that odd to find one in the first half of the Grand Line would it? They had more freedom, they were allowed to control territory, there had to be a way to find one. In fact taking out a warlord should be enough to raise his bounty high enough to join the warlords.

Renshu returned to his crew, who were all cheers. He wondered if they knew how little they meant to him, they just sailed his ship. None of them meant anything to him, if they died, he would find others.

He sat near the partying crew as they ate large quantities of food that they recently pillaged from a marine ship. Their laughter was meaningless to Renshu, they were just his stepping stones.

Renshu never saw himself like these lowly pirates, the ones with no true aspirations, the ones who simply just wanted the freedom to do what they pleased. There was a difference between Renshu and most other pirates, Renshu wanted to be so much more than these low lifes were. They would rape and murder without any control if left without a leader. Renshu would never stoop so low, he was a controlled chaos. All his actions meant something, they held purpose, he would become the greatest in the world.

King of the Pirates, what a stupid title. Renshu did not believe in the One piece, it was just a legend to bring about the age of piracy. Gold Rogers was just giving the World Government one last middle finger before he lost his head.

No, Renshu would become something far greater. It would take time, but one day he would be something greater than even the Pirate king could ever be. That was the difference between him and this rabble he called a crew. He was born to lead, to achieve greatness. The best this crew could hope for was to give him a ride until he reached that greatness, and when he reached it they would be rewarded, assuming they survive that long.
