Elder Guardian

The eldest and highest ranking members of the guardians. They rule and protect Zylar, and govern the operations of the Guardians.

Requirements

Must have achieved the rank of Senior Guardian.

Appointment

Guardians are appointed to this rank from the ranks of Senior Guardians by members of the Guardian Council of Elders. Typically this is only done when an elder has died or has decided to retire creating a vacant seat on the council.

Responsibilities

Monitoring the overall conditions of Zylar, defining guardian policies and regulations, creating the common laws that govern all of Zylar.

Benefits

Members holding this title are considered honored people with advanced knowledge of the world and its inner workings. They are granted political authority in most cities and treated as honored guests when visiting. They hold the power of law for all of Zylar. All lower ranks within the Guardians specifically must obey thier commands.

The governors of the various cities of Zylar and their fellow Elder Guardians.

Length of Term

An Elder Guardian retains thier title until the day they die. Even f an Elder Guardian chooses to step down from the council and retire, they retain thier title and the authority and honors that go with it.
