Zylar

Zylar is an artificial world created by powerfully magics many decades ago, during a time when Earth was in its early steel age, when magic was at its heights. The world was created by a group of powerful wizards who used their incredible power and knowledge to create an artificial dimension and the world of Zylar within it. They defined the mechanics of how the world would function and set the foundations for the society that would develop. The initial population of Zylar came from the people who followed the wizards and looked to them for leadership and protection. To provide fauna and wildlife for Zylar, the wizards used Earth as an example and source for establishing the wilderness areas of their new world and providing bountiful and varied creatures to fill their world with life. When they were finished, they stepped into their new world behind their followers and sealed it off from Earth.   Zylar continued with many generations developing into a new culture and society based on the foundations laid down by their founders and the magical nature of their world. The Guardians were formed by the founders to protect their world and generally keep order in the world.
