Avasi

Avasi is a small continent, surrounded by the Atunzi Ocean except to the north, where the World's Roof Mountains separate it from Zaniq. A huge mountain range, the World's Roof is mainly home to dwarf city-states and groups of aarakocra and goliaths. Directly to the south of it is the advanced magocratic nation of Nehi in the west, and the theocracy of Audren in the west, a dwarven kingdom which has banned arcane magic. The two have a long-standing rivalry with another. Between them and several other regions is the Ashva Steppe, home to many centaurs. The rest of Avasi is ruled by four human empires (including Nyreba) that frequently battle one another.
Atur in the southeast has sent sailors all across the Atunzi, and commands an impressive fleet. The power of the Solirian Empire over its many client kingdoms is weakening, but it remains powerful enough the challenge the others in war with its fine cavalry, which includes horse-human pairs as well as centaurs. The Idojan Empire has several schools of bardic lore, but also has a capable army. Its diamond mines allow for certain spells to be cast more often, though few besides the emperor have any hope of being raised from the dead. Lastly, the Nyreban Empire is famed for its magical constructs and philosophers.
