Zorian Lizardfolk
The Lizardfolk of Zor experience a richer internal emotional life than those in other realms. They tend to speak and think of things in the present tense, but form rather deep attachments to their kin and those outside their own species who they form a bond with.
They are a semi-aquatic species, often serving as a neutral party between many of the other sea faring peoples of Zor, including the koalinth, locathah, sea elves, and the merfolk. Their only true enemy have ever been the sahuagin, but thanks to their respective biologies (lizardfolk need air every 15 minutes, Sahuagin need water every 4 hours), conflicts between the two species have been largely limited to occasional skirmishes between hunting parties.
The Lizardfolk feel a deep connection to the goddess Semuanya, the infinite struggle, whom they worship to the point that most of their societal structure revolves around the concept of survival. Lizardfolk will cut ties with a settlement easily if they believe there is danger that threatens their survival there, and they form alliances or start wars almost entirely on the basis of whether or not they will be supporting the survival of their own and other species by doing so.
