Kepesk Clan
The Kepesk (Storm) Clan is named for the hurricanes that were common in the waters and shores where they have historically resided. These Lizardfolk historically resided in a network of water caves on the Azurian Coast. Until recently, Kepesk culture was very traditional and isolationist.
Two events have led to the Kepesk Clan becoming a vital part of the The Kaeol Sovereignty. First, the rise of a progressivist leader named Othokent, whose own travels throughout the continent inspired a vision of an engaged, cosmopolitan society with much to offer the world. Second, an expedition by the Shadowquick Party led to an alliance between the Clan and the other settlements of the coast against the forces of Sekolah, the deep stalker and Titivillus during the Saltmarsh Incident. Othokent and her people were key figures in establishing a united effort between the various aquatic races of the Azure Sea and the coastal peoples, turning the tide against an invasion that threatened them all.
In the wake of the war, the Kepesk emerged from their caves, establishing a sprawling settlement in the surrounding marshes that serves as an example to the rest of the coast of balancing nature and civilization. Their developments in the areas of sustainable infrastructure have begun to spread to the rest of the coast, accelerating the development of coastal towns into major port cities while simultaneously preserving the natural resources of the region.
