Project Helios

Using Light Agolabathite, Humanity now fully united tried developing faster than light travel. They failed but found a way to get to fast as light travel. It wasn’t what was intended and drew great power but it allowed humanity to finally take it’s first steps outside their own solar system and possibility come back in one lifetime.
They enchanted the ship studded with Agol of Light, attuning it to that power meuch like the void gates. They do this at the top possible speed they can before transforming the ship into pure light traveling in one direction.
This had limited runs as getting enough light agol to supply decades of light speed travel were hard and risky but humanity pulled through and headed for Barnard's star.

Project Helios was a generation ship built to support life for as long as possible if the Helios Agol enchantment failed, the mission would be able to continue under those conditions.
