Built to protect the cities of Wave 38 from the dangerous Time Ripples and Time Storms. Used like a weather vein in a sense as these triangular portals as attractants for these metaphysical apparitions. From their unorthodox invention to their problematic testing, it was a wonder these even came to be.

Discovery

Lucretia father was on an expedition into the DryLock Plains for research into why the area was a hotbed for Time Ripples and Time Storms. Through a lot of observation and note-taking, Cornelius Darrington figured out there was some sort of connection between Darringtinium Ore and the Time Ripples. Though it wouldn't be till Lucretia got ahold of the research of her fathers that anything would be done. A lot of the craft of the Time Portals was trial and more error than anyone really wants to ever admit.

Utility

Each Time Portal acts like a weather vein does for lightning. The Darringtinium seems to attract Time Ripples and cause them to form close to deposits. Though the Pentagonal trapezohedron with a large disc under it seems to be the perfect storm for Time Ripples to be drawn to the space between the two. Allowing the ripples to form and be contained inside of an enclosed area for safe handling of whatever comes through it.

Manufacturing

The creation of a Time Portal is long and a drawn out, though about five portals are within each Wave38 City. After the Darringtinium is refined and almost all of the impurities pulled out of it, a large Pentagonal trapezohedron is crafted and is placed between two angled beams of stone with a point aimed straight down at the ground at a large engraved disc of Darringtinium.

Cited as the brains behind the theory of Time Ripples and the ore now know as Darringtinium Ore, along with the woman who through that research was able to create the first Time Ripple Portal. Writing the book 'Darringtinium and Time Ripple' along with 'Effects of Darringtinium' and 'The Dinosaurs of Tyleth'.

Only Wave 38 seem to have this particular structure and well the technollogy there of.
