How The World Came To Be

Zelestoria's Gods

The Universe/The Everflow- the massive, all encompassing flow of sentient mist and smog created the original three children of creation Malum , Etain and Catos   All three of them began to put together Zelestoria piece by piece. They worked well as a trio till the universe began to manifest inhabitants for the world in which they created. Etain and Catos were chosen to look after these beings, they began to give them life and personality while Malum continued to put the finishing touches to the world.   Malum saw and watched from afar as Etain and Catos grew closer to one another, becoming a mother and father figure in the eyes of the inhabitants.  Everyone began to avoid her, pushing her out from their own little creations, meanwhile the new inhabitants were making things harder for Malum to finish her work.  She tried to voice her concerns but they were met with an ignorant stare as these were the children of the Everflow, they are to be protected and whatever they needed to survive, they would get.   Catos started to treat Malum with cold words and dragging Etain away so that Malum could "Continue her work in peace" even though it was obvious she was struggling.  Malum's frustration grew more and more, begging the Everflow for more power to be able to deal with all the work she was being tasked with.  Eventually, it was too much for Malum to work and deal with the unending demands from Catos.  With no answer from the Everflow she allowed her anger to wash over her.  She tapped into the Everflow's knowledge and in anger condensed Etain's essence into the sun and condensed Catos' into the Moon. Malum pledged in her anger that they both would forever chase one another around the world.   Malum tried to deal with everything by herself.  She watched in cold sadness the Everflow's children run away from her, she sobbed as her tasks for completing the world grew more and more. Etain observed Malum struggle from afar in his angry silence, but he soon began to regret his actions, he realised that he and Catos had been neglecting Malum and saw her struggle in silence. Etain borrowed power from the Everflow to descend during the day to help Malum, begging for her forgiveness.   Malum forgave Etain quickly as he began to help out with the tasks.  Any help was better than no help.  Though she knew it was coming, Etain begged Malum to see Catos, to speak with her. Malum, angrier at Catos than Etain eventually agreed to allow the Sun and Moon to eclipse, to which Etain and Catos are able to see and speak to one another.   Malum grew jealous in her despair, watching them both together and wished for the kind of relationship they had.  She saw every dusk and dawn the love and longing they shared.  Though Malum sewed her damaged relationship with Etain over time, that feeling was never rekindled with Catos.  Catos, more than anyone- despises Malum entirely.   After four eclipses, Etain and Catos approached Malum with Four 'gifts'.   Confused, Malum asked the Everflow how they came to be for they are not like the Everflow's children. They were created by the couple to help Malum manage everything since they are bound to orbit around the world and Etain no longer has access to the power he borrowed.   Faerus proved himself to be a leader- and brought Law and Order and if anyone went against his word, he would bring War.   Kalan was very in tune with the beings on Zelestoria and ultimately became the messenger between the Gods and beings, bringing Peace wherever she went.  Embracing Nature with every step.   Andes kept to himself and enjoyed gaining as much Knowledge as possible. Often he would be knee deep in Arcana.   Erus meanwhile spent his time accordingly but never went without causing some kind of trick to bring smiles and laughter to everyone- Gods and Mortals. He became Trickery and the Forge Master.   For a time this worked well- but when the mortals were dying- the escaping souls weren't flying back to the Everflow like they were supposed to. From afar, Malum saw the other primordial beings come together as a family and discuss ways they could solve this problem- without her. From Malum's tears Meldron was formed.   Meldron soon accepted his role as the God of Death and Grave as he began to call and gather the souls towards him.

Time Passes - So Do The Seasons

As time passes on, through the confines of nature flourished The Three.  The children of the Everflow began to refer to the seasons as beings, breathing life into their names.   Versona was born from Summer's rays of sunlight. She is relaxed and like to enjoy her days.   Emilios is Spring's bouncing melody of new life. He dances and sings his songs to encourage growth.   Varaura is Autumn's spirit. She is quick and wild, her temperament fluctuates frequently.   Meldron began to take an interest in these new deities and wanted to befriend them. They became quick friends and agreed that once they are finished with their duties they would visit him.   The first time all three of them visited- everything went cold and dark- Thus bringing around Os Vesraem which means "The Absence Of The Three"

At Death's Door

Meldron was finding it increasing difficult to keep up with his duties, since more and more mortals were introduced to the world. He turned to Catos one evening and asked her to show him how to create beings. He needed help and so Catos agreed.   Meldron created Three but chose a fourth in time;   Azuna was the first to be created. She spends a lot of her spare time wrapped around Meldron's neck. Azuna is a four legged feline- A Maine Coon.   Demu was the second to be made- created from the anger and frustration Demu is a malicious entity. He enjoys taking the lives of those who lived a dark path. He is not malicious to his brethren... much.   Xireyar is a strange entity. Xireyar is an animalistic being and will take all other lifeforms to the other side, paying close attention to mortals who choose to take their own lives.   Orean is the only being to ascend to God-hood. During the first ever war breaking out on Zelestoria- Orean was the first general to die and he refused to go with Azuna and even Meldron. He became a beacon of light to those who lost their lives on the battlefront. Orean was determined to watch over those who died and send them on to a better place.

The Godless

Yes, there are mortals who do not believe in gods, even in Zelestoria.   The Godless are few and far between, with many of them being branded as hypocrites. Beings that don't believe in a god will refer to life via the Sins And Virtues
