Catos, Goddess of Life and Twilight
Catos The Moon Mother was one of the first Gods to exist in Zelestoria. Much like Etain, The Sun Father. and Malum, Catos was created from The Everflow to rise up and begin creation.
Catos, seeing what Malum had been creating, desired to bring them to Life. The Everflow responded with gifting her Primordial Life.
Etain's gift of Light was beginning to get over bearing while they worked- the Everflow granted her second desire by gifting Twilight and darkness.
How The Mother Became The Moon
By the Everflow's design, Malum sealed Catos away by condensing her sentience into a spherical ball- much like her partner Etain. Except that Catos didn't take this very well and began to deny Zelestoria and her physical sentience the life in which she freely gave before. Many things began to die out in her retaliation. But the universe had it's ways of explaining that this was meant to be. This is all part of it's design. Once she was granted the time to spend with Etain, life began to bloom again on Zelestoria, but nothing ever grew back on Catos' moon- forever leaving herself barren and sorrowful. Those who follow her in the Children Of The Moon feel her sorrow when she hangs alone in the sky, and her joy when she shares the skies with her Sun- Etain.Divine Domains
