Vorthal

Vorthal is the southern-most continent in the western hemisphere and is often referred to as the Land of Legends, due to the large number of rumors and myths surrounding the largely unexplored land.

Geography

Vorthal is divided into four regions; the Great Vorthali Forest, the Lieori Range, the East Shore, and the Iceveil.

The Great Vorthali Forest

Considered to be the largest continuous wooded area in Zantin, the Vorthali Forest is home to thousands of different creatures and is vastly unexplored. It stretches south from the northern coast of Vorthal over 2000 miles and is contained between the Lieori and Eastern mountains. The forest also receives, on average, over 100 inches of rainfall annually, while some areas can receive over 400.

Lieori Range

Named after the ancient Goliath tribe that once lived there, the Lieori Range makes up the majority of Vorthal's western coast. Because of the tall mountains and the the westward prevailing winds, the western shores do not receive much rainfall, leaving the land to be particularly barren of vegetation.

The East Shore

The northern of two small mountain ranges on Vorthal east coast and the surrounding rocky hills are moderately populated with life. The area lacks the large quantities of rainfall that help the Vorthali Forest thrive and is higher in elevation than much of the continent.

The Iceveil

Now the primary home of the majority of the Zantin goliath population, the land of the Iceveil is mostly plain leading to the Migni Mountains. The region is known for blinding and long-lasting blizzards which were the determining factor for the defeat of the Salorian Army in their attempt to conquer the Migni Goliaths.
