After resolving the time loop in the last city, our group of adventurers reassesses their current whereabouts. One of them, however, has different plans...

I guess this constitutes a cure
Our merry band tries to convince Ulfgar to help us find a cure, after telling him that Nero is afflicted by the Arcane Death. Ulfgar is angry, and doesn't want to help us. Nate checks Shynt's body under the dragon corpse and tries to get him out. Morbelgion studies the dragon.
Nero has a feeling he has to go deeper into the cave. Deep in the cave, he finds a beating heart. He then walks back to Morbelgion, and asks for help with the plague, with which he is afflicted. Morbelgion reacts by simply disintegrating Nero. Nero is dead! Nero is dust!
Nate drags Shynt (with a new body) outside, and wakes him up. Nate, Rael and Emilio seperately have visions of Maze, in a clock tower, asking them questions about the land and the empire.
An Aarakocra flies in, and demands to speak to Morbelgion. He speaks a few words with Morbelgion in an unknown language, then just teleport away. Maze is disguised as Nero, and convinces the rest that he is indeed Nero. After some discussion, we decide to give Nero a little more time before chopping off his arm. Maze then picks up Nero's weapons, but they burn him when he touches them. The team figures something is off. Nate fetches Emilio. Then, there is a messy disarming. Nate heals Maze, then he is subdued and Ulfgar contributes a Zone of Truth. We find out that Maze wanted to play us to suck up to Morbelgion. Then, we put him down. Everyone is a little sad.
