Lizardfolk

Lizardfolk are a reptilian species that originate within the Ashiri Jungle. They are distinct due to their reptilian appearance and supposed cold-blooded nature. They are almost exclusively apart of the Ashiri Empire and are rarely found elsewhere. It is believed by scholars that the species is the most agressive of the three main species of the empire although some have put doubt on this claim.

History

Lizardfolk are believed to have been created by the god Emus around the same time as the other two species of his creation, the Wood Elves and Firbolg. It is believed by most scholars and historians that the species were created by the god to serve as his worshippers. Scholars tend to agree that the species originates somewhere within the confines of the Ashiri Jungle although exactly where or when is a mystery. Much of the species history is unknown to the outside world due its location within the jungle and its membership as apart of the Ashiri Empire. The empires staunch isolation and the jungles harsh terrain has made any sort of historical pursuit of the species a dead end. The major thing that is known is that they have come to coexist with their neighboring species and that they make up one of the three major species of the Ashiri Empire.
