The Hephaestus Insurrection

Technological achievement

An attempted takeover of the town of Last Rest by Hephaestus Arms, led by Anastasia Gildenwerd and defended against by the Heroes of the Reach.

During this conflict, the Black Dragon Guildhall is destroyed, Robin Adlehyde is revealed to have a dark destiny that sets him and his companions on a path to forestalling, Elfriede Simbledon inherits the mantle of Archmage from Emelyn the Grey, and Eliana Quilaren becomes grafted to the Blackrazor.

By the end of the conflict, Gildenwerd is defeated and her archanotech army reprogrammed, Captain Aldous Barksdale is dead, and parts of the town have gone up in flames. Led by the new leader of the watch Margaret the Impaler, with Mayor Stonegrowth having vacated his position to return to Falinor, most Heroes of Last Rest assist in rebuilding efforts, with the notable exceptions of Robin, Elfriede, and Eliana, who depart to resolve the issue of Robin's dark secret.
