Baegora

Baegora, the capital of the Ganaguk Kingdom, is a city of innovation, culture, and tradition, perched on the natural terraces of the Wotamyeong mountain range. Renowned for its brass architecture and harmonious aesthetic, Baegora serves as the administrative, educational, and industrial heart of Ganaguk. It symbolizes both the legacy of the Malnarr Empire and the resilience of its people.

Defences

Fortified Walls: The city’s perimeter is protected by brass-reinforced walls, with guard towers strategically placed for optimal defense.   Mountain Fortresses: Hidden fortresses in the Wotamyeong serve as backup defense points, ensuring Baegora’s safety from both natural and man-made threats.

Industry & Trade

Brass Workshop

Purpose: The workshop produces brass fittings, pipes, and casings for both civilian and military use.   Historical Innovation: The Malnarr Empire was the first to use brass casings for ammunition, and Baegora remains a key supplier of this essential material.   Transition to Steel: With brass becoming increasingly expensive, the city is slowly adopting steel as an alternative for industrial and construction purposes.

Infrastructure

Transportation
Usakorae Bridge: This iconic structure connects Baegora to the island of Usara, serving as both a trade route and a symbol of unity.   Terrace Lifts:Steam-powered elevators and pulley systems facilitate movement between terraces, making the steep city accessible to all.   Street Tramways: Steam trams run on tracks carved into the terraces, ensuring fast and efficient transportation within the city
Water and Waste Management
Terrace Aqueducts:A network of brass aqueducts transports water from the Wotamyeong to the city, ensuring clean water for residents and workshops. Drainage Systems:Carefully designed channels prevent flooding during Ganaguk’s seasonal monsoons, redirecting excess water to reservoirs and fields.
Energy
Steam Technology: Baegora relies on steam engines powered by coal and hydropower from the Wotamyeong rivers, with brass pipes delivering energy to homes and industries.   Transition to Steel: New steel-based systems are being developed to reduce reliance on increasingly scarce brass.
