The Room of Universal Harmony is where
Seris Emperors are crowned and from which, according to the Seris they rule over all below the Heavens . This famous room inside the palace of the Seris Emperors has been destroyed, rebuilt and remodeled over the course of the centuries.
Description
The first throne room of the Seris Emperors was quite humble (in we compared it with examples from other countries and monarchies). It had a flat roof made of wood as well as its columns. The throne was made of gold covered with silk cushions. This first throne room burned alongside 1/4 of the Imperial Palace during the Era of the 5 Princes (211 BP to 148 BP). It was rebuilt during the last century of the Arshakid Dynasty and the first years of the Sitakid Dynasty when it achieved its current form. In this new form, the basement and half of the colums were made of gold and the old throne room was replace by a luxurious throne made of gold with a phoenix (the symbol of the
Seris Empire on top of it. This new throne was located on top of a platform made of white marble with a little staircase in the front.
The throne room's ceiling is decorated with the Davidovian myth of the Creation of the world, with the
Primordial Dragon and the birth of the gods . These representations of the gods in the ceiling has an ideological and political symbolism and that is to reinforce the idea that while the gods rule the destinies of the mortals from above, in their Heavenly Palace, the Seris Emperor rules the world as their representative.
Also, since the reign of
Asurlan I the Emperors have sponsored famous artist from Seria and beyond for decorating the palace rooms, and the Room of Universal Harmony is not an exception. There you can find statues of several gods made by Ikarian and Oronai sculptors as well as Seris paintings made of silk depicting landscapes, battles, parades or even philosophical teachings.
