Peacock

Peacocks are certainly majestic and beautiful creatures and as such they've been identified or related with various monarchies that used as symbol of their might, splendour and power.   The first who used the peacock as a symbol were the Sun elves. This association was created very early on, since the First dynasty around 5000 BP. Paintings and reliefs of peacocks adorned the temples related to the monarchy as well as in the Royal tombs at the Valley of the Kings. The Sun ef kings even had, and still have, some peacocks wondering around the gardens at the Royal Palace of Ymhilean . According to their beliefs the Sun elf king was like a peacock, majestic, elegant and wore such luxurious clothing (often dyed dark blue) as the peacock plumes. In fact, some Sun elf Kings adorned their crowns, helmets and turbans with peacock feathers.   This association is even evident as the golden throne of the One who is the reflection of the Sun is decorated at the top with a golden statue of a peacock with gems incrusted on its eyes and tail (thus giving it its name "The Peacock throne")     In the Seris Empire to the South-East, peacocks were also associated during the Sittakid dynasty as symbols of monarchy (probably due to Sun Elf influence after the campaigns of Asurlan I in Unhelion in the early 3rd century AP). But during the later centuries of this dynasty, and especially during the Yuutakid dynasty the peacock became the symbol of beauty and elegance associated with Empresses and Princesses. Both women of the Imperial family and the aristocracy buried themselves in lavishly decorated tombs decorated with peacocks on their walls or even buried with stuffed peacocks or sculpted ones.   This association also crossed the Suris Strait into the Ikarian Empire and later the Blatian Empire. Many emperors had peacock plumes on their helmets and especially triumphal crowns worn during the triumph ceremonies both at Ikaria and Blati respectively in order to magnify the beauty and elegance of the triumphant emperor.

I love the thought of the tombs decorated with pea***s. Sounds so pretty.

Nice use of the cultural representations and meaning of the Pea*** as Sun Elf Emperor. Noble family prize and decorative plume wear.
