My WorldEmber Pledge 2022 in Yeia | World Anvil

My WorldEmber Pledge 2022

I am one with the force and the force is with me
— some dude in Star Wars

I can't believe that December is comming, and you know what that means... WORLDEMBER!!!!. Last year was my first WorldEmber and it was sooo fun. I wrote my most liked article in these 3 years that I've been in WorldAnvil. And (fingers crossed) this year will be as fun and productive as the previous one. So its about time to write my pledge for WorldEmber 2022 and also to prepare the articles I'm going to write about this year.

WEEK 1

If you have more than one world setting, which one is the most important to you right now? Why?

I created a second World a couple of weeks ago about Yeia during its Renaissance Time. But for WorldEmber I'll continue to focus on lets say "Normal" Yeia, well, the Yeia that all of you know and hopefuly love! because I still need to expand the lore of the world and talk about even more realms, cultures, characters... .

Which area of that world setting will allow you to achieve your goals (Continuing your novel/campaign, or starting a new one?).

If we talk about areas of the world, well, Teria, the Western Continent has a lot of important realms that I didn't talk about in an specific article: Such as Oronia, Sylvania, Wesdaland... ( So perhaps you will see articles about them this December). Also i would like to get more in depth with traditions across the realms i wrote about in previous articles . Also, talking about characters I didn't have enough time in WorldEmber 2021 to write about two important characters, so this year will be an excellent oportunity to write about them.

How will it help you achieve those goals?

WorldEmber is perhaps the challenge where I am most active in terms of writing and worldbuilding. Also its the time where I get most of the inspiration for drawing and thus improving my drawing skills. So by writing so many articles I expand enormously the lore of Yeia in terms of overall history, ethnicities, realms, characters, religions (the latter is a topic that I have to talk about more than i do).

WEEK 2

Scope

Those of you who have seen the map of Yeia know how many realms (Kingdoms, Empires, Republics... etc.) exist in my world. I have only "touched the surface" and talked about some of the most important realms in Yeia. This WorldEmber 2022 I would like to write more articles describing many more of these, I hope, interesting states that populate the continents of Karia and Teria. Speaking of which, I should probably also make articles for the continents, it has been almost two years and I still haven't describe the two continents in detail. Since Teria is the continent with more nations I'll focus my attention on this part of the world, but, of course I'll also talk about nations, ethnicities and languages of the other continent, Karia.

Mood

I would also like to write more about traditions in the ethnic groups i've already talked about. I think that this could make them more interesting and more "alive", in the sense that they feel real. For example, what diet they had or what sports did they practice? . It would probably be a difficult task but i hope you like the result and find it interesting. Also talking about the states in the previous paragraph, I'll also like to talk more about politics, how the countries are runned, how they elect their leaders, Does its citizens or subjects have any form of representation or political power?.I think this would also help the reader understand the society of these places.   Languages are not my forte, but I think this WorldEmber will be a nice occasion to improve my skills in conlanging.

  Week 3

Organization:

I've to recognize it, organization in my world was awful with a lot of uncategorized articles but now, thats to this WE prep month and specially this week's homework, i was able to put almost all my finished articles in one of the category folders.   And, as for tags. I haven't really used them, probably because of inexperience and to be honest not knowing their purpuse really well, but i think that tags are a feature that I should use more and probably will start using them this WorldEmber 2022!.

Week 4:

CSS: my Achilles heel:

Yes, I'm not very good with CSS but WE is always a nice time to do little "experiments" and trying to do the articles more readable and beautiful.  This is one of my main goals this WorldEmber 2022  and i'm confident that i'll be able to achieve it!.

Artwork:

One of the things i like the most aside from writing articles is doing art for them. I'm almost "new" to digital drawing so every drawing I make is a great oportunity for improving my skills and its so satisfying to see that people like my drawings so much!.  These are just "sketches" of the upcoming art for this WorldEmber 2022! . I sincerely hope that they recieved as many feedback and likes as my "dragon birds" drawings a year ago!.
