Lyris is a high-ranking member of the Astralarium . She is part of a retired adventurer party under the lead of Thonar .
Lyris is first introduced in the Astralarium Library Annex , which is where she is likely to be found, when not in her office or with her friends in the New Beginnings Tavern .

General Physical Condition
It has been a while since Lyris was out and about, so her physical stamina has degraded a little. She isn't frail, but she probably can't hold her own in a physical fight... without magic, that is.
Body Features
Lyris' skin is uncommonly light for a drow. It is suspected that this is a genetic mutation, thanks to her being born on the surface, of a surface-born mother.
Apparel & Accessories
Lyris is most commonly seen wearing an adorned robe, with furs and gold details. She also wears a headpiece made from silver and an assortment of dark red gems.

Personal history
House Vil'thien is a large family of spellcasters, and thus, Lyris' magical affinity immediately made her an important member of the clan. Her mother initially wanted to have Lyris ascend to Archmage rank, and bugs her even now for her "lack of ambition".
As a young adult, Lyris joined with Thonar , Malrae Do'sek and Voyage to fight the rising threat of Nyx Shadowmend . Her and her friends were thereafter regarded as war heroes. While the others settled down in their newly built tavern, Lyris returned to her post at the Astralarium, where she enjoys great rapport to this day.

Lyris is one of the best in her field and House Vil'thien's pride and joy. She specializes in enchantment and transmutation magic but is skilled in all other schools of magic as well. She is also a linguist and author of several books in the Astralarium's libraries.

For Lyris, her duty lies with her home and her family, two things for which she will fight to the death. She believes in the value of every person and is quick to give people the benefit of the doubt. Furthermore, she firmly believes that all knowledge exists to be shared and furthered, making her a mentor-figure and anti-elitist.

Neloth and Lyris are very similar people, and that is exactly what puts tensions in their relationship. Lyris was drilled as a child to be in Neloth's seat, and is also much older than her. Many people, especially Lyris' family, wonder why she submits to Neloth as Archmage.
