Dwarves

These small but stout folk traditionally lived in bustling underground hives, believin’ in nothing but the Stone Prophecies, which foretold their names, careers, and even spouses. Not many still believe in ’em, though, because they never predicted folks would leave Homeworld. Some dwarves still live underground, but not as many as in days past. One thing to know: beards are popular with many men, but they ain’t nearly as ubiquitous as some seem to think.

Common Traits

Dwarves, are known as builders and and are courted for their abilities as craftspeople. While their works are never as elegant as elves, they do possess a stoic, functional beauty which boasts of their durability and ability to get the job done.   Dwarves tend to be somewhat focused, maybe even intense in their demeanor, which leads to a common perception of stubbornness. Those who know more about the inner mindsets of dwarves often characterize their more brilliant members as being driven, or even haunted.   Physically, they are hardy and durable, typically strong, and like most non-human folk, have better than human ability to see in near-dark conditions.

Social Structure

Though all of the dwarves pledge allegiance to The Stone King, he does not seem to care about happenings beyond Homeworld; each clan of dwarves is ruled by a dwarven prince who oversees the various dwarven Families.
