Crystalmancy

In the days of the AfterFall, that briefly epic time of unity among The Folk, dwarves, elves, and goblins came up with a sparkling solution for quickly developing easily shapeable but resilient materials which were aether-worthy by mystically growing crystal composites bound with certain rare earths (found mostly in asteroids).
The resulting technique was Crystalmancy. Though elves could easily master the craft, most do not prefer it because they felt that the structures were too inorganic and therefore not sustaining to life.
One of the greatest practitioners of Crystalmancy, Crystalalandaria (yes, she actually change her name) was believed to have found a way to meld the arts of Crystalmancy and Habiforming, able to create living crystal ships. She has not been seen in approximately 200 years, but far on the frontier, there are rumors of crystal ships.
