Sunrise Coup

The Sunrise Coup refers to the uprising conducted by Corelli Shireshelli that lead to him killing and overthrowing his father Lord Aggrin Shireshelli, becoming the Duke of Gildrake, and creating The Verdant Shroud.
With a party that included his wife to-be, Waverly Aulder, and close friend, Niamh Ronan, on an especially bright day, Corelli Shireshelli enterred the doors of his family mansion in Gildrake with the express purpose of killing his father, Aggrin Shireshelli, and ascending to the throne over the territory. This coup would go on to also provoke the half-death of Corelli's sister, Keynarri Shireshelli, transforming her into the New God of Scorn, The Maw Queen. After his defeat, Aggrin Shireshelli took the brief remainder of his time alive to reveal to Corelli and the entirety of Xelestar (excluding King Ioji Hyoga, who was already aware) that Corelli's grandfather was not actually Valihran Shireshelli (for whom he is named) but rather Ashmodai, "The Presence".
