Feltremar

The Firstborn of The Twelve Pillars of Creation , Feltremar is a colossal being that serves as the Deity of the Dwarven people as well as the physical mountain range separating Velkorran from Alberdae. Feltremar chose to hibernate between these two countries following the events of The Winter March as the Dark Elves/Noctari betrayed their former friends and family to help protect the Dwarven people from Queen Illyria of the Winter March's expansion. Seeing this as an objective kindness for his chosen people, Feltremar uprooted himself and moved to rest at the end of The Dark Star's influence, effectively ending The Winter March in its tracks as Illyria's Sylvari  troops could not endure the harsh physical strain needed to continue fighting after traversing the Mountain-God (if they didn't perish during the journey). This is little wonder when considering the casual magic-abundant lifestyle of the Feywilds compared to Xelestar's wildly varied climate and natural architecture. Most credit this as the end of the Winter March as the range became too impossible for the magick dependent Sylvari to overcome.
"Feltremar" is the Dwarven word for "planet", largely due to Feltremar owing his existence in large part to The Dwarven Nurturing .
