Needermire
Needermire
I feel like this may be a, what do you call it in Common? Ah yes, a bad idea.Needermire is a Goblin Fighter/Warlock, formerly a part of the Vaws-Hak clan now a part of an adventuring party named The Tea-mates.
Description
Appearance
Needermire is a young Goblin of above average height with a well defined muscular body. He has hazel eyes, green skin, and short brown hair that has been combed back since escaping the Underdark. His ears are filled with various holes from the makeshift piercings that were put in his ears by the Vaws-hak. Needermire has a soft Udar (Greek) accent.Debut
At the start of the campaign, Needermire was found in the Underdark by the Tea-mates wearing a simple loincloth and many makeshift, jagged metal piercings in his ears of various shapes and sizes. His hair was wild, messy, and filled with dirt. The Cold Drink
After Rhogar Snowstrider had found him trying to get into Embervale and nearly being stopped by the guards, he was provided with clothing fit for someone living within the city. He was given a simple brown tunic with a blue waistband, a pair of green trousers, a pair of brown work boots, and a few pouches to keep his things and change from customers in.Signe
As the Tea-mates were about to travel to the town of Signe, they had asked Needermire to come with them on the adventure. Needermire was very excited at the offer and immediately went out and bought a new set of gear to properly set out on the adventure. Since this adventure, Needermire had went out and bought a set of Chain Mail armour which he was able to get painted various shades of blue. He also bought a quiver for his arrows, and a few sheaths for his melee weapons.Mike's Lair
After clearing through Mike the Beholder's lair with the Tea-mates, Needermire was given the Stormcloud longsword. This sword ended up being a weapon associated with Ben the Speed Demon and Needermire had ended up becoming a Warlock. Because of this Needermire had grown very faint, barely noticible horns on his head. The sword itself came in a slate grey sheath with a lightning bolt going down the middle which he wore amongst his other attire. The Underdark
Needermire and the Tea-mates had set out on a quest for vengeance to the Underdark, all the way back to Needermire's home. During this time, as Needermire was getting his end of the deal with Ben the Speed Demon which in turn also fulfilled what he needed to do, the horns on his head became longer and much more noticable along with a few of his teeth becoming longer and sharper. His sword also changed and grew with him, becoming longer, the guard began growing curling horns, and the blue streak in the middle became longer. He had also acquired the Scripture of the Speed Demon, a pitch black book with abyssal runes. The Vaws-Hak Castle
As the fight with the Watcher came to an end with Needermire, almost poetically, dealing the final blow, Needermire underwent a brief transformation. The vengful shadow of Ben the Speed Demon had possessed Needermire upon his slaying of the Watcher. The horns on Needermire's head became longer, he grew tusks and fangs like a Nalfeshnee, and sprouted two large black feathered wings. This transformation was rather brief as Lannik, the Wizard in the Tea-mates, had cast Antimagic Field and shunted the shadow of Ben out of his body.Embervale
Leaving the book and the sword behind, Needermire changed back to his regular self before finding the Stormcloud longsword.Personality
Needermire is a soft spoken, shy person not wanting to draw too much attention to himself. Although shy, Needermire likes asking questions, whether it be about others, or the things around him, he likes getting to know people and about how things work. Needermire's generally shy and introverted demeanour changes to outgoing and excited upon witnessing and learning about new magic. He does not consider himself to be remotely brave. Needermire possesses a deep rooted hatred for Duergar and Hobgoblins, especially those a part of the Vaws-Hak. Although he has only shown this hatred in battle with his friends, this hatred extends far beyond those instances. He believes that his life was filled with suffering because of individuals like that and has not yet met a good or normal Duergar or Hobgoblin, thus furthering his belief, however awful it may be. Needermire does not possess the knowledge, intelligence, nor wisdom to realize that not all Duergar or Hobgoblins are evil. Although his hatred is a bit misplaced and he has suffered much, since escaping the Underdark he has tried his best to not be a product of the environment in which he was raised. He has kept his kindness and uses his strengths to help those in need. As a young boy Needermire was the runt of the litter, innocent seeming, and kind, all things that did not mesh well with his home environment though now later in life, he uses his kindness and innocent seeming exterior to obtain the help of those around him. Needermire is a very trusting individual, sometimes to a fault. Trusting his current party, the Tea-mates, to let him escape when they originally met, trusting Rhogar Snowstrider to actually take him in and give him a job when trying to enter Embervale, although these things turned out very well for Needermire, his trustfulness also resulting in him making a deal with Ben the Speed Demon and become a Warlock. Since he was a young boy, Needermire has had a vast interest in magic, often to the point of staring excitedly at anyone casting spells or using magical items while not in battle. This amazement and interest in magic eventually lead with him making a deal with Ben the Speed Demon. Needermire is very self aware at how unintelligent he is compared to his friends and others around him and thus took the deal when he found the Stormcloud longsword as he did not think and does not think he could ever possess the intellect to learn magic like some of his friends.Biography
Background
Needermire was from a small subterranean town called Gobtorune, one of the many colonies of the Vaws-Hak clan, located in the Underdark deep beneath the Flaring Highlands in Morlinnes. His mother and father, Qot and Ullob respectively, were incredibly poor being only simple workers within the clan. In his teen years, being the runt of the litter, Needermire was assigned to simple weapon crafting, although not in the same league as the fine Duergar weaponsmiths, his deft hands allowed him to quickly and efficiently make usable spears, daggers and other simple weapons with the makeshift materials that were available to him. As Needermire grew, he had proven himself to be quite the fighter, preferring to use one longsword in one hand in a duelist fashion. By the time Needermire reached adulthood, he was moved from being a weapons crafter to being a frontline Goblin warrior, usually this position is cannon fodder but Needermire's skill, talent, and luck, kept him alive.Physical Description
