Magic in Wyrring
In Wyrring, magic is generally separated into two separate categories; Divine and Arcane.
Divine magic is magic in which the spellcaster is used as a conduit, and the source of the magic is typically some otherworldly entity or power. Because the magic is typically from an unknowingly powerful source, it can create stronger and longer-lasting effects, and is more resistant to anti-magic effects. In exchange, Divine magic requires a relationship with this otherworldly source, which can be easily severed if the caster misbehaves.
The source of Arcane magic is the natural world itself. The prime example of this is Natural and Necromantic magics, which pull energy directly from their surroundings. Most other kinds of magic are believe to pull their energy from the Demispell or from different dimensions.
The creation and manipulation of Technocores and Kinetic Engines, although a closely guarded secret, is believed to be a form of Arcane magic, due to the need to fuel the engines with use.
Although having the ability to create magical effects, Psionic powers are not considered to be magic.
