Fae Court
The Fae are organized in one of seven Courts. Each of these Courts is associated with a colour and a number of magical affinities. Additionally, all Fae of a single court appear to have a particular overall temperament: for instance, the Fae of the Red Court tend to be highly emotional, easily falling in and out of love and holding on to extreme anger for unusually long times.
Structure
Each Court is ruled by a King or Queen. The exact organisational structure of each Court is very complex, but each Court has a different organisation.
History
Not even the Fae themselves remember a time before the Courts existed. Originally, there were six courts. Since then, the Cyan Court was successfully conquered and assimilated by the Blue Court, while the Magenta Court apparently fell apart under internal struggles. The Orange Court was founded by Fae of the Red Court and Yellow Court looking to get closer to the physical realm. The Indigo Court was founded by sages from the Blue Court in search of enlightenment, before the assimilation of the Cyan Court. The Violet Court mysteriously appeared at some point, appearing to be unrelated to the other courts in any way.
