Yellow Court

The Yellow Court is one of the seven extant Fae Courts. Yellow Fae are mostly preoccupied with having fun than anything else. Easily bored, they view physical creatures as mildly amusing toys at best, and treat them with complete disregard at worst. This can make them exceptionally dangerous, and the only known way to stop a rampaging Yellow Fae is to distract them with something more amusing than whatever it is they are currently doing. Their magic centres around lightning and the sun. Yellow Fae granting magic powers are reasonably common compared to other courts; the drawback is that they are known to kill the witches they grant powers to without notice as soon as they stop being amusing.

Structure

The Yellow Court is organised akin to a company. What it is that the Yellow Court exactly produces or what service it provides is not entirely clear; the most sensible conclusion is that it doesn't really matter what it is they do. The Yellow King refuses the title of King and urges all to call him by his first name. He simultaneously holds that he is a mere peer of his workers, but this seems to be an empty promise as his position and the privileges that come with it are effectively the same as those of the other Kings and Queens. The Yellow King is assisted by a board of Very Important Peers, and all other Fae are organised in teams of seven consisting of six Peers and one Peerer Peer.

History

The Yellow Court is one of the primordial Fae Courts, as not even of the Fae remember a time before it existed. A long time ago, a number of Fae especially attracted to the physical world split off from this court to form the Orange Court together with some Fae from the Red Court.
