Indigo Court
The Indigo Court is one of the seven extant Fae Courts. It is occasionally said that Fae of this court are among the most insufferable to deal with, as they tend to trick their victims in engaging in philosophical debates with them. Great care must be taken when interacting with an Indigo Fae, since they hate being proven wrong and believe it right to punish those who lose an argument to them, so there is really no winning a debate with an Indigo Fae. Instead, it is advised to not say anything that may be taken as a philosophical stance on anything - although an Indigo Fae is sure to get enraged if they believe someone is avoiding an argument. The best way to stay safe and not incur their wrath is to praise the Fae's wisdom and intelligence, but beware that insincere praise is among the highest of insults. Their magic centres on knowledge and illusion, granting powers such as those to read minds, see the future and to present one's enemies with terrifying hallucinations.
Structure
The Indigo Court is organised akin to an academy, with the King or Queen at the top overseeing the one hundred and one different faculties, each with one hundred and one departments. Within each department and faculty, Fae are constantly competing for resources, publications, acknowledgement, positions on boards and funding.
Public Agenda
The Indigo Court was originally founded in order to seek enlightenment. Of course, it is entirely debatable whether they have found the most efficient way to reach that goal. A word of warning: do not attempt to debate this with one of the Indigo Fae.
History
The Indigo Court is not one of the primeval Courts. Rather, it was founded by some of the Fae from the Blue Court in search of enlightenment sometime before the conquest of the Cyan Court by the Blue Court.
