Lithuos

Lithuos stands as the direct opposite of Shonnos, embodying endings and destruction where Shonnos represents new beginnings and life. The myths tell that, despite his disdain for the mortal realm, Lithuos once vowed to take on a physical form, bound by a promise to his brothers. Though he never desired to become mortal, he did so out of love for them, willing to endure the trials of human existence for their sake. Now, however, he is trapped in this form, bound by his own oath, forced to live among mortals and experience the very cycles of life and death that he governs. This act of sacrifice, while made out of love and loyalty, has left him in a state of perpetual conflict, torn between his divine essence and the limitations of his mortal guise.

Divine Domains

Endings
Lithuos governs the domain of endings, ensuring that all things, from the smallest moments to the greatest epochs, reach their inevitable conclusion. He represents the natural end of every cycle, guiding the world toward the finality that paves the way for renewal.
Destruction
As the force of destruction, Lithuos oversees the breaking down of structures, both physical and spiritual. He embodies the chaos that clears the path for transformation, reminding mortals that destruction is often necessary for growth to begin anew.
Death
Lithuos is closely tied to death, not as an act of malice, but as a fundamental truth of existence. He shepherds souls through the transition from life to the unknown, embodying the inevitability of mortality and the peace that comes with acceptance.

Closure
Within the realm of closure, Lithuos helps mortals find resolution in their endings. He is the quiet force that allows one to release the past, embracing the end with dignity and understanding that it is a part of the greater cosmic balance.

Balance of Cycles

Darkness
Lithuos’s connection to darkness is symbolic of the unknown that comes with endings. He is the guardian of the Void, or better to say, he is the guardian before things that comes from void, offering solace in the quiet stillness of the end, where reflection and transformation take root.

Tenets of Faith

"Every end is not a punishment, but a necessity; every destruction is not mere chaos, but a vital part of the divine balance. Lithuos, in his infinite wisdom, teaches us that endings are not to be feared, but embraced. They are not the opposite of life, but rather an essential part of it. Without endings, there can be no beginnings. Without destruction, there can be no renewal. Lithuos reminds us that every cycle must eventually conclude, for in the quiet stillness of endings, we find the seed of new life. To deny the end is to deny the truth of life itself, and to resist it is to break the harmony of the cosmos. Accept the end, and in that acceptance, you will find peace, knowing that from it, something new shall arise."

Divine Goals & Aspirations

The true goals of the gods are not for mortal eyes to see, for in their secrecy lies the wisdom that guides the world. To know too much would disrupt the balance, and so, their purpose remains veiled—hidden in the shadows where only time can reveal their meaning.

Known Goals
Lithuos, as the god of endings, destruction, and death, has a clear and vital role in the natural cycle of the world. His primary goal is to ensure that every cycle, whether of life, time, or creation, reaches its inevitable conclusion. Through his influence, he brings about the necessary closures and endings, which allow new beginnings to take place. Lithuos acts as a guardian of balance, ensuring that no entity or force escapes the natural law of conclusion. His work is to guide all things toward their rightful end, maintaining the equilibrium between creation and destruction.
Secret Goals
On a more concealed level, Lithuos seeks to maintain the true balance of the universe by controlling not just the end of cycles, but also the spaces between beginnings and endings. His secret ambition may lie in the mastery of time itself—controlling when and how things cease to exist, allowing for an eternal dance of birth and death beyond the comprehension of mortals. Some believe that Lithuos's ultimate goal is to bring about a new cosmic order, one in which destruction does not merely serve as an end, but as a transformative force that reshapes the fabric of the universe. In his quiet, unseen presence, he is preparing for an ultimate event where endings and beginnings merge into a timeless state.

The teacher of unwanted
Lithuos is the most hated among his brothers, not by them, but by mortals. His dominion over endings, destruction, and death makes him a figure of fear and resentment. While his brothers—Archanos, Enshasu, and Shonnos—are often seen as guides and protectors, Lithuos’s presence is viewed with dread, as he ushers in the inevitable conclusion of all things. This hatred is something Lithuos has never forgiven, neither from the mortals who shun him nor from his brothers, who do not fully understand the weight of his role. He has come to view this animosity as an essential part of his existence, yet one that drives a quiet, unresolved bitterness within him. Lithuos is a god who, in his quiet solitude, carries the burden of being misunderstood, for his task is vital, even if it is unappreciated.

"If I possessed the artifacts of Lithuos, I would become the most powerful mage in Syndar, ruling over the fragile kingdoms with a force unmatched. For in the hands of one who understands the true nature of endings, destruction, and time itself, all realms would bow before my will."
— This was heard in the corridors of the Archanic Conclave
