Chaos

"Ah, my dear scholars, lend me thine ears! Chaos, that unruly specter, doth signify a state of utter discord and confusion, where the natural order is cast asunder, and all semblance of harmony doth vanish into the abyss. It is the very antithesis of the divine symmetry that doth govern our world, leaving in its wake naught but turmoil and unbridled pandemonium. Yet, prithee, ponder this: within chaos often lies the seed of renewal, for from the throes of disorder may emerge new order, as doth the phoenix rise from the ashes. Mark well, for herein lies the wisdom of ages—chaos, though fearsome, is not without purpose."
— Master Theodric of Almsworth on lecture in Andar University.

Alas, it must be said with heavy heart and no small measure of trepidation—Professor Theodric Almsworth was mistaken in his assertions. Chaos is not merely a state of disorder or a spark for rebirth. No, Chaos is a seeker of ruin, an insatiable force of annihilation, born of the Void itself. It is none other than the progeny of Vorion, the Abyssal Sovereign, whose shadow has loomed over existence since time immemorial.
Our records, drawn from the Archanoses Archives, reveal a truth far more sinister than Almsworth could have fathomed. Chaos is not a formless notion but a primordial entity, ancient and eternal, the very architect of our history. This being is the harbinger of Cataclysm, the progenitor of Dragons—those monstrous vessels of destruction. From its essence were the first dragons born—Primordial Dragons, their forms molded as avatars of its will. These creatures are its extended hands, creeping like black tendrils through the vastness of the universe, reaching even to Thalas, our own world, to spread its malignant influence.

The Thallian records—tablets as old as our planet itself—speak of a chilling prophecy: Chaos will one day unfurl its full power, consuming the stars, the worlds, and the fabric of existence itself. This event, scholars have deciphered, is but the prelude to the return of Vorion, the dread father of the void.
Fear the future, even if its shadow does not fall upon your lifetime. For Chaos is not merely an immutable universal law, as Almsworth so naively believed. Chaos is a creator, and creators possess will, purpose, and thought. When this being, this son of the Void, decides to visit our world once more, none shall stand in its way. Not kings, not gods, not even the strongest of our magicks
Mark these words, preserved in ink and stone: the universe shudders beneath the weight of Chaos. Let no one dismiss its threat, for its arrival is not a question of if, but of when.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

No one truly knows his form; some whisper he is not flesh but a shifting mist, an enigmatic fog that weaves through the universe. Ethereal and unbound, his presence defies comprehension, neither solid nor void, yet palpable in its dread. He carries no affliction, for he is not of mortal make—only the essence of Chaos incarnate.

"The notion of a floating head lingering in the sky? How utterly absurd—a fanciful fabrication born of the unrefined minds of superstitious villagers. Only the most stupid could conjure such a preposterous image, as if the divine would lower itself to such a crude and theatrical display. Truly, it is an insult to reason and intellect to even entertain such drivel."
The known and secret goals of the divine entity are as enigmatic as its form. Its singular known purpose is to spread Chaos—its very essence—to all corners of the universe, unraveling order and creation wherever it touches. In secret, it is whispered that this being seeks to pave the way for the return of Vorion, its progenitor, by collapsing the fabric of reality into a state of pure, boundless entropy.
