The Notorious Session 20: They are Cute. Wait no they are not!
General Summary
The ground below Vera's feet started to rumble. The rest of the party joined her on the other side of the light and dark tunnels of incineration. The party remembered what the rules are for mining. Watch out for traps and not die. They also remembered to watch out for the worms. The rumbling made the party aware of their surroundings. They didn't see anything until they started down deeper in the mine again.
A small quiet rumble that sounded like rolling boulders came from various cracks in the walls. Out rolled these cute little panda lizard creatures. Sullivan knew them to be zorbo. These creatures have natural armor that changes based on their surroundings.
The party stumbled into a nest of these cute dangerous creatures. Vera didn’t want to cause any problems however the creatures do love the taste of flesh and they started to bite at Vera. These actions cause the rest of the party to come to the aid of Vera in many different aspects. They had their hands full with the zorbo. The party was more alert of things around them. When a kobold showed up in the cave, they were extremely guarded and alert. All this kobold did was walked past them. He said, "Hello, I see you took the hard way in killing the zorbo. We normally use the incineration trap behind you to help with those pests."
The party took a quick rest. Afterward, they headed deeper into the mine. Solstice lead the way while reading her crude map. She also found that a trap, and she ended up stepping on a pressure plate. She failed to get out of the way when a 5-foot boulder came falling on her ankle. She ended up severely spraining it. This injury limited her mobility. The party helped her remove the boulder and reluctantly proceeded even deeper. The boulder after it was removed proceeded to roll down the sloped corridor before crashing into the wall revealing Electrum and other various Ores. The party noticed that the boulder was tried to fall into a hole and was stuck. they proceeded to create a rope net/ safety system to prevent falling. Sullivan ended up dislodging the boulder as he was setting his safety piton. He was there hanging in the open net, looking down at the death fall before him. Solstice grabbed him by his coat scruff and pulled him to safety. The party then proceeded to mine the various ore around this safety net. Allen wild shaped into a giant badger and proceeded to mine some ore by digging them free from the walls.
After all the mining, the party wanted to explore even more of the mine. They ended up dropping a rope and Vera climbed down. Just as her feet hit the ground. The rumbling noises grew even louder.
