The Notorious Session 19: Training & Mining
General Summary
Midday Martius the 17th,
After the party gathered on the steps they decided to travel to various shops and even the local Hunter/Trapers Guild for some training. When walking to the guild the party found a few herbs on the way. They found three Verdant Nettle, one Ironwood Heart and one Elemental Water. At the guild Wincen Gamble was able to chat with who he thought was an employee at the guild and had questions about how to properly handle a bow and arrow. The employee who is actually Loramoira Farhorn. Wincen asked about form. So Loramoira asked for a demestration for how Wincen holds his bow. Wince pulled it out and demestrated. Loramoira was pleased and asked Wincen to fire. Wincen shoots and hits the target. Loramoira states that he sees nothing wrong Wincen's form. Everyone else in the party stated Wincen should demestrate his new bow. Loramoira encouraged that as well. Reluctently Wincen pulls out the new bow. With that Loramoira pulled a level to activate more targets further down a hidden range. Wincen then fired at the first target and with a show of grace Rular The Wise & Trusting who resides in Wincen's bow granted the piercing shot to Wincen. The arrow hit and passed through to the next target and hit. There was some other tests and discussion about training but in the end Loramoira Farhorn granted Wincen Gamble a life time membership to the Hunter/Trapers Guild.
The party was wanting to go mning and had a lapse of directions when Solstice Cyra, Vera'lyth Aeceris, Allen Eillee, and Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel all have the realization we have been to the mine before lets just head there. They saw a Kobold that had mining gear. They decided that they follow the miner from a distance and traveled stealthfully. At that point one of the party made a loud noise and scared the miner. They ended up talking to the miner and they stated if they could lead them down to the mine. The miner looked at Vera'lyth Aeceris and Allen Eillee and stated you want to go mine. Vera states back " I'm Stwong! Look at these pecs!". The next to show themselves to the miner where Solstice Cyra and Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel this startled him again. The miner scurried off with the party to the mine enterance Wincen remained hidden. They arrived to the mining station that is located in the tree that decends down to lower levels and the mine.
When they get there a Kobold by the name of Dukka Covenmane asked what they wanted to do. In the process of asking that caused he recognized Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel and stated I really like these disk like things you wanted me to craft. They zing really nicely, but what can I do for you all. Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel stated that they wanted to do some minning as per agreed about some of their other commisions. Dukka Covenmane asked if the party needed any mining supplies and everyone said yes. Including Wincen that was still stealthing with the party (the bear coat carpet says yes). This started the first Kobold and he took off to go mine and Dukka Covenmane provided the mining picks and a map to the mine that showed where the traps are located. Solstice Cyra took the map and became the main lead. They asked what the rules where for mining in the mine and Dukka Covenmane stated the following. Rules are don't die watch out for traps. Also we will take 25% of everything you collect. If you find any very rare ore we claim it all for the research needed. We will pay you for the claimed rare items. The marching forward into the mine was as follows Solstice Cyra, Vera'lyth Aeceris, Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel, Allen Eillee followed by Wincen Gamble.
At the first mining dig Vera'lyth Aeceris successfully mined three raw Cobalt she nailed the cobalt node so hard(DC 15 Str). Wincen Gamble successfully mined twelve raw Tin. After this the party had to navigate a pressure plate room with trapped floors. Solstice Cyra fell but was caught by Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel's new magical power. Wincen also stumbled at the end and was caught quickly by the aid of Sullivan.
Even deaper in the mine the party came up on a dual tunnel system one light and one dark. Wincen traveled down the light side tunnel and reapeared at the entrance of the dark. So he ventured into the dark side and ended up getting tranced into mining a false ore. His trance also made him admire the item. Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel was able to venture into the dark side with the aid of Solstice Cyra and snapped Wincen out of the trance. However on his return back he also got tranced. Even Solstice Cyra got tranced when she went in to save Sullivan Leopetor Galanodel. Vera'lyth Aeceris looked at the tunnel and started to walk backwards and she appeared on the other side of the tunnel. As she felt the floor rumble below her feet.
