The Antiquities Session 26: Heidi Roth and the Isle of the Cursed Orc

General Summary

The party came face to face with Ren as they arrived at the north shore of Loch Ren. They have to decide on what they are going to do. How are they going to save Tinika and Arnold? They present the orb to Ren. They learned that Ren knows how to access the device. While talking to Ren, an aarakocra was flying in the sky. It ended up dropping a hydra head. The hydra head splatted near the party's location. In all sorts of panic, the Aarakocra was all worried that he would not be able to please his mistress. The party looked at the Aarakocra in disbelief. As the party continued to talk to Ren, the Aarakocra just started talking to Luther and a few others. Leront ended up asking Ren "if he could get some of his blood." Ren agreed only, "If they were to provide him with the hydra that lives in these parts." The Aarakocra was all concerned that he wouldn't get part of the hydra, so he imposed himself upon the group. The group wasn't trying to be mean to him, but they did try to disown this aarakocra. The Aarakocra sees this sign of behavior as a sign of friendship and grew closer to the party. The party all agreed to travel upon Ren's back to deal with Thrull's request of Heidi. Thrull claims that the greatsword needs to be procured by the chosen one. The chosen one wields a cannon from the heavens. Reluctantly, Heidi agrees to this?
The party was traversing the back of Ren. They realized this was also part of the Isle of Ren, or at least part of it. The party Noticed a tucan bird flying in their direction. The Aarakocra noticed that this bird was flying in a weird pattern and spoke in a way that didn't make sense. He then cawed at the bird and told him to shoo. The bird left, and Leront scolded the Aarakocra. A moment later, a volley of arrows came from the distance and shot the party. The aarakocra fell to the ground unconscious. Sir Parendor gives a little life essence to the Aarakocra, and the party went on the defensive. Fighting ensued with a bunch of green Dragonborn. Heidi took off to the air with the aid of a spell cast by the Aarakocra. She was able to reach the throne and alter where the greatsword was. Thrull sat down on the throne and made itself visible to Heidi. In doing so, Thrull touched Heidi and then disappeared with the bones. Luther noticed a different colored Dragonborn, who resembled Neswyn, a friend of Heidi's, as the fight continued. Neswyn saw Heidi as well. But decided Neswyn played the long game and let the party deal with the Royals of Ren. They even healed the part from time to time. Once the fighting was over, Neswend walked up to Heidi. In a gesture to heal Heidi, but instead of healing, she cast inflict wounds instead. The spell almost knocked Heidi unconscious. Leront cast suggestion upon Neswyn. In doing so, Neswyn was charmed into investigating a strange artifact. Nak rushed up and cast the spell protection from good and evil because he noticed a red armband tattoo on Neswyn. The result of casting the spell removed the red armband from Neswyn, and an albino spirit came out and merged with the other archaeologists and briefly formed into a hideous undead creature. The creature disappeared in front of everyone. With combat ended, the party ended up cleaning up the rest of the Royals around. Nak got it black bag From the bandit captain. Leront ended up harvesting all the bits of the Royals of Ren. Then gave the meat as an offering to Ren. After acquiring the greatsword, the party asked Ren to swim back to the shore. Nak asked Ren, "if he could swim to the eternal forge." Nak was allowed to ride on Ren's head. Nak pulled out his staff and started making a grung whistle sound. In doing so, it called forth all the grung to the shore. The leader was even there as this was an unprecedented event seeing a grung riding on their demigod. They knew of Ren and even worshiped Ren, but they have never seen Ren until this time. They use Ren's steam vents that flow to the north shore. They use thermal vents for their blacksmithing and all of their crafting of various goods. The grung leader never comes out of the steam forge. In doing so, he even bowed down to Nak. As he bowed to Nak, he noticed a few flecks of gold starting to show up on his red skin. The leader of the eternal Forge gave Nak a new name of Raz'Lay making nakes full name Nak'Zoog Mag Raz'Lay Stonegrave. He stated, "as you ride on Ren, you deserve a name of a leader."
As Ren; was going to retire, he provided the orb back to the party. He embedded five of his teeth in a configuration on the orb. This configuration is fully activated when the five teeth get removed. So, five members of the party removed them at the same time. It opened up five portals. Ascelin, Jappa "Chair Joe", and Tinika arrived out of their portal; at the same time, Arnold came out of his portal. Ascelin quickly grabbed the orb and teleported away and back to the party. She returned her tower where it belonged. The party asked how she got pulled in and, she disappointedly looked at Jappa "Chair Joe". Ascelin said her goodbyes and left with Jappa "Chair Joe". The party found a shelter and a place to finish any rest that they may need, but only for a short period. That's where we left the party.
