The Second Immigration was the major global event that marked the second time that human beings immigrated to the World of Seven Seas. Humans from the First Immigration died in a mass extintinction event caused by an illness that always killed humans, rarely killed Human-
Folk hybrids, and did not affect the worlds native Three Races (
Dracanis,
Marelis, and
Vasati) or the Folk.
The Details
The biggest concentration of humans arrived (and survived) on the Eastern half of the continent of
Westra, and would expand to other places worldwide from there. Future first leader of the
Kingdom of Delryn,
Cyprien Dell, was amongst those who arrived in the Second Immigration.
Hidden History
There are no known historically accurate records of how the Second Immigration occurred, and in fact, most humans after the first generation or so seemed to forget it did. If they are asked about it, they get confused and disoriented, and tend to change the subject. On the rare occasion someone does get to interested, they tend to go quite mad trying to figure it out, or die a mysterious death. The Three Races seem similarly affected by this phenomenon of forgetting, though they do remember The Before, the First Immigration, and the Lull in between the arrival of human groups.
