Rhagnar Character in World of Seven Seas | World Anvil

Rhagnar

Rhagnar, god of the sky, is one of the Aethertide Pantheon's two primary dieties alongside his goddess-wife Meari (goddess of the sea). According to the beliefs of Tideans, they are the parents and creators of mortals and the world as well as their children the minor gods and goddesses of the pantheon.

Description

Most often, Rhagnar is depicted as a humanoid man, who is tall with wild curly hair. He usually has black or red hair, lots of beard and facial hair, and is tall.

Personality

Rhagnar is usually boisterous and bold, with feelings as big as the sky he represents. All of his moods are big and obvious, from the sunny warmth of paternal favor to the thunderstorm of righteous anger to the cold blast of icy disappointment.

Worshippers, Clergy, and Temples

Rhagnar, as the Father God, is a staple of all Tidean worshippers, and can be invoked in almost any situation.

Clergy
Most clergy are general Aetherwalkers or Walkers who serve the entire Pantheon and live in their home communities. A few may be particularly devoted to Rhagnar specifically, and serve him as traveling clergy or in the temples where Walkers receive their formal training before taking vows.

Special Orders and Sects

The Chosen
The vast majority of Walkers are fairly run-of-the-mill clergy, going about their business with a lot of training and maybe a small amount of divine help. But Clerics and Paladins are not unheard of; those who seem to have a more direct line of communication and aid from the deities.
