Before discovering Shatterglass, Milo was working as a tailor. He did both the routine, mundane work of actually tailoring the clothes for his clients, as well as adding enchantments as requested (and paid for). His wealthy clients paid him to add spells such as luck, protection, and repellant of dirt and grime.

Milo was married with three children. He adored his wife and children, and providing for them was what kept him at his odd jobs and tinkering, trying to make life better for them.

Milo's wife rescued and rehabbed animals. Many of them were 'rehab failures' that ended up staying. Milo fell in love with a three-legged lizard she rehabbed, named him Spicy, and he stayed forever with the Perlic family.
