Emphir's Bay
Geography
This is a deep, sheltered cove on the Northeast shore of Austra, bordering territory claimed by the The Brilliant Empire (formerly Kingdom of Ostar). It is fed primarily by the Luminous Sea.
Ecosystem
The sheltered, deep nature of the bay makes it a haven for marine creatures of all sorts. Because it is fed by the Luminous Sea, it shares many of the same natural occurrence of bioluminescence and phosphorescence. Other than the Eschen naval forces, the next most common use of the bay itself is from scholars from the Eschen academic institutions studying the water itself as well as the marine life.

The bay shares localized phenomena with the Luminous Sea.
History
Early in the history of the land, when it was the Kingdom of Ostar, the King's Bay was dedicated to the monarchs of Ostar. The sheltered nature of the cove meant that it was well protected from enemy attack, making it a good place to harbor ships, test new techniques, and train sailors; but it was also a good place for rest and relaxation, funeral rites, and more.
When the Kingdom became The Brilliant Empire, the bay was renamed Emphir's Bay.

Tourism
Travelers are discouraged from entering the bay, and in fact, it us usually under naval blockade and only official Empire business is allowed. Travelers by sea come to the Empire's shores from Cleo's Harbor, or some other port on the Great Sea, Ash Sea, or Crater Sea.
