Caffah

Caffah is made with the beans from a plant grown on the jungle islands of United Tribes of Mare'n, and with limited success, on the Marches and in greenhouses. It is a large export of the Tribal people. It is enjoyed as a beverage, usually hot in most of the world but has been served cold especially in warmer climes. It is a strong stimulant.

Taste

Caffah has a strong bitter taste, and is popularly sweetened with sugar or fruit. It is more bitter the longer it is brewed. It has a fruity aftertaste. Different blends have different make-ups of taste.

Manufacturing process

Caffah (the drink) is made from a combination of the fruit and vine bark of the Caffa (plant), which grows wild as a vine in the Mare'n jungles. The fruit is smashed whole, skins and insides alike, and fermented, while the bark is dried and ground. You must have both parts to create something edible, though the exactly ratio of the blend is a propriatary secret to the Tribes who make it; if you don't have both parts you are asking for food poisoning at best and death in severe cases.


Caffah is made using products from the Caffa Vine.

History

Caffah was introduced to the rest of the world by travelers from and visitors to Mare'n. It is still a valuable trade commodity for Mare'n and the Tribal people, becuase attempts to grow it outside of the islands have had limited results.
