Reactivation of the Bridges

A Kiniswell mage rediscovers the means to activate the long dormant Bridge gates and allow speedy travel and communication across the kingdom.

While imperfect, not quite as efficient as the scant historical records promised they'd be, the nobility celebrated the resurrection of the Bridges for a time.   They would use them to make the sometimes weeks-long journey to the capital in mere hours to arrive for ceremonial events and be back home by nightfall. Messages would be spread from city to city via couriers who passed between the gates. While the crossing may have required the enlistment of paladins for protection, many considered it a far better alternative to the long journeys by carriage with near constant risk of bandits or foul weather.   By travelling through a realm of compressed space, the nobility enjoyed a period of being more connected to each other than ever.
