West Bridge Hospital
This old building has seen better days. Once, it was sponsored by the socialites and sport stars of Houston; once, it sported the cutting edge of medical equipment; once, the patients rested easy knowing they were in the competent hands of the many doctors and nurses that fought to get into West Bridge Hospital.
Nowadays, the poorly lit halls lie forgotten, 'cept by the patients who find themselves unfortunate enough to be trapped in this old building, cared for by the rare uninterested nurse. Ever since the terrorist attack, the donations stopped pouring in. No football player or senator wanted to be associated with the history of West Bridge Hospital.
The hospital still runs. Every night its dreary rooms are filled with drunk victims of barfights, battered wives and husbands, drug-addicts and the victims of drug-addict attacks. The nurses are swamped, the doctors are busy, and the security guards are on edge.

Alterations
After funding dropped, the west wing was decommissioned, along with the old boiler room. The rest of the hospital still stands.
Architecture
A main reception, a courtyard overlooking the highway, and an east wing overlooking the small streets leading up to the building.
History
In the early nineties, a terrorist attack against the West Bridge Hospital shook the neighborhood. A small group of armed and masked individuals broke into the building and destroyed the old boiler room by setting a fire. The fire spread and took out most of the west wing.
In the following months, support poured in; but every attempt to rebuild, replace, or restaff the hospital was met with unfortunate accidents and clerical errors. The management was overworked and over-corrupt, and the money kept slipping away.
In the following years, the hospital was forgotten by its benefactors and a terrible visit by the city officials was the nail in the coffin. The West Bridge Hospital still runs, the demand for healing is high and the supply of hurt and sick people is never-ending. So the hospital stays open. Not quite alive, not quite dead.
